Question regarding AC21 and full time school

Hi all my
140 is approved and its more than 6 months since my 485 is pending.
I intend to quit my job and go to full time school from July 15th. If i dont get my GC by then I am going to file AC21 and join another company and maintain part time employment with them.
Will this be a problem ?
 
Should not be a problem as long as you can submit all the required documentation for AC21 like full time offer letter from new employer with same/similar job description and 485 receipt notice.

I have been trying to find out what all is required.
I had a couple of questions and I want to make sure of certain things.

140/485 applied - Nov 26th 2004
140 approved - april 28th

1)So that makes it more than 6 months since 485 is pending and my 140 is approved. Do I qaulify for AC21.

2)Can I maitain part time employment for the time being?

3) Is it a must that I have to file AC21 ? In one of the posts I read that you have to file before ur 485 gets approved, Why so?

I spoke to one of my collegues who got laid off recently and he said that he hasnt file AC21 and will be filing only if there is a query. Is this a good approach?

4) Im currently working for a Calif company. If I file AC21 with a company in NJ , will they transfer my case to NJ.That would probably cause a lot of delay.

5) Im looking at chaning my field. So I will be going to full time school. Because the education is unrelated to my job , and my 485 is an Employment based one, will they object to it?

It would be great if you can answer these questions..

-- If 485 is approved, you have your GC. You dont need AC21 anymore. AC21 makes sense only if 485 is pending

-- AC21 might slow your application. Even though USCIS recommends informing them, you can notify them in the event of RFE/NOID.

-- Does not matter as long as you have full time offer for same/similar position from another employer. School has nothing to do with AC21.

thanks for ur replies.. im a little confused by one thing.
Do I only need to have a job offer for when I get my GC or is it that I should also be employed during the time between I quit my current job and I get my GC ?
If that is true, when I get an RFI , then I can file AC21 with the offer letter for the future rather than showing documentation that Iam currently employed.
 
Will work fine if you respond only in the event of RFE/NOID. You need a legitimate offer letter from the new employer with same/similar job description and 485 receipt to exercise AC21.
