I have got a notice to re-do my finger prints. I am from VSC but at the time of appointment I will have to be in California. Can I do it in California?

This is a good reason to go to your local service center and ask them to let you do it earlier. I would do that.

does your address is in VSC centre area and you are in CA for a while? or your application is in VSC and you are living in CA ?
Which part of CA are you ? Accordingly I can write you if that area is known to me.
 
Dont Panic simply go for early FP.

Just go for early FP in your local office. Dont tell them any thing untill they ask you about scheduled time or date.

If they ask carry your travel tickets or Itenary and discuss your problems.

I also went for early FP.

I am in California "San Jose" right now and will be here till Nov. Is there a way I can get finger printing done in California rather than in Pittsburgh??

try here they may allow you. do not give them unnecessary info unless they ask

this is cross st of Zankar and Charcoat . across BEA Weblogic buildging in Industrial office place . There is small board of BCIS extension centre outside. office is big inside . I did it here. very close to San Jose Airport area. They are open on Mon to Sat 8 to 4 pm
