Question regard to I-20 student visa

Hello,
I already interviewed for a visa to USA. I just realized after the interview that my first name and surname on my I-20 is swap: the first name on my passport is the surname on I-20 ,and the surname on my passport is the first name on I-20. I passed the interviewed without problems. What should I do ?
I reported to university about this mistake. Should I report this mistake to embassy before I get to USA ? Or I could carry my new corrected I-20 along with the sealed documents including old I-20 and get to USA without problems ?

Is the name on your visa in the correct order? If so, your best bet is probably to get your school to issue you a corrected I-20 asap. Personally I would not risk trying to enter with an incorrect I-20, even if you have a visa that is correct.

If your visa is also misspelled, you can probably ask the consulate if they can issue you a new (corrected) visa based on your corrected I-20. But it may depend on your particular location. Again, trying to enter the US with documents that don't match up is something I would personally not attempt, but you may get lucky if you do (not sure if that would have consequences down the road, though).
