Question re USCIS case-status tracking

Hi all,

I hope you had a great weekend.

I just checked the USCIS case-status for my cases, and the dates for the last update for my I-485 and I-130 have changed to yesterdays date. However, I read the information pertaining to those applications and it read the same things as it did before. Have USCIS really updated my case, and just not giving me info, or does the date just automatically update every now and then?

probably they moved your folder from one table to another...
my messages hasn't been changing until today...
don't worry, it's all good...

I was thinking the same thing - maybe they picked it up, looked at the front of the folder, changed the date, then put it back down again!

Sounds like a days hard labor to me.
 
From my experiences, normally when they update and message doesn't change is becuase they have sent out some notice by mail.
 
My case was updated on 03/05/07 from 01/11/07 but i did not get any letters in the mail or notice of action
 
I received an update with no change in the posted message after months of inactivity. about 20 days later I received the welcome notice sent email.
 
My case was updated on 3/11 (Sunday!?) and then again today (3/13). I did receive notices, but on 3/10 and 3/12 and they were all sent on 3/6 or 3/7.

Who knows what they're really doing there... :rolleyes: :D
