Can I file for I485 and then include my wife\'s name to my application after I get married ? You don\'t include her name, but apply another I485 for wife as a derivative case, after she enters US in H4. AOS can be applied only when a person is in US. Otherwise she may apply follow-to-join at consulate abroad and has to wait for your approval. Hence it is better to bring her on H4 here. Make sure you marry before approval!

Also can she get her H4 visa in India after I file 485 and my H1 is still valid? Yes.
