My employer does not reimburse spouse cost. When first time I have applied for my wife's I-485, EAD, AP last May, I got lawyer by my own expenses and did the job. Now it is time again for her to renew EAD and AP. I don't want to get a lawyer for this time only for EAD and AP as I have to pay them again for each application they will apply. It was not one time cost.

My question is once I-485 is filled by an attorney primarily, can my wife apply by herself for her EAD and AP now?? I think she can, I just want to make sure from you folks. Please answer.

Is there any where she needs my signature or anything?

Can she sendher personal checks for both application in one check summing the cost?? Can she use same envelope?

Should she include the copy of her previous EAD?

How long it is taking to get EAD now a days? We have 4 months, is this enough time??

I would appreciate your help. Sorry if questions are very naive...

YES for all the above questions, except that, be careful when sending in one envelope, prepare different sets and tie them.

It might be prudent to send seperate checks for each application.

Processing times depend on the service center. NSC is pretty fast with approvals in about 50 days or less.

This will help you little bit

Here is doc file. It is used CA Forum users. You can use it for any service center you need to check the address where you are sending depending upon your service center.
