Question on website updates

Has anyone in this forum who registered to receive email when case status was changed on webiste not got the email but got a direct approval?

I am hoping that maybe the website does not update always and emails dont work always and there is a possibility that one gets the approval without even getting a notification?
 
I dont know about approvals. But, got my FP notice without any updates to the system or emails from USCIS. And I have hear ppl not having any updates to the sytem receiving mails from USCIS and als ppl who dont get mail from USCIS even though it says so on the website. Too unpredictable!!
