Are there different requirements for photogrph for different forms (I130,I485) OR R they same ?

For I 485 , I saw the following requirement
:

Submit two identical, natural color passport-style
photographs of yourself, taken within 30 days of the
application. The photos must have a white background, be
unmounted, printed on thin paper, and be glossy and
unretouched. They must show your full-frontal facial
position with your head bare. You may wear a headdress,
if required by a religious order of which you are a
member.

Photos.

The photos must be no larger than 2 x 2 inches, with the
distance from the top of the head to just below the chin
about 1 and 1/4 inches. Using a pencil, lightly print your
Alien Registration Number (A#), or your name, if you do
not have an A#, on the back of each photo.

They're the same.

Just go to any photo place and ask for passport pictures. They're the same as the ones needed for USCIS.

did u get ur oath letter madam, we at citizenship forum have been eagerly waiting for your reply and its tough to find you

Be carefull cuz most of the ppl that take photos have no idea what r they doing. I did mine in downtown Chicago and if I wasnt paying attention she would take side view that's not being used anymore. My husband took his in Hyde Park (south side of Chicago) and his head exceeds norm because lady that did them zoomed in attempt to be nice, whatever, and she just messed up the whole thing. We have to do them again.
Take your ruler and pay attention ;)))

I agree with Glorya, our photos looked terrible and pretty unprofessional. The background looked rather grey than white and the proportions were a little off too. We did them.. ahem.. at Walmart.
They still didn't seem too bad, so I left them in their SONY envelopes (as proof that we had them done professionally!! :) ) and sent them like that.

I don't think they would reject it though. As long as they are kind of right.

Photo requirement of USICS are the same as photo requirement for passports. All forms have the same photo requirement. You can get your photos at any good place that prints passport pictures. I got mine taken at Walgreens and they were good.

There is no pleasing USCIS about the photos it seems. I worked at a professional photo lab for 2 years, so I know the requirements like the back of my hand and we still had people rejected for passport and immigraiton even though there was nothing we could find wrong with it.

Then when I submitted my own applicaiton I guess they did not like it very much either, they used the picture from my biometrics appointment on my EAD, now waiting to see which picture they will use on GC. My biometrics picture looks much much worse than the picture I submitted. Even at walmart I could have gotten better pictures for sure.

Passport photos submitted with application are for their records i guess. Maybe used for the FBI namecheck and other checks.
Only the AP uses the pics submiited with the application
The picture on the EAD and GC is same, the one that was taken when you went for your FP/Bio.
