Question on RFE

When you respond to an RFE, does the same officer that issued the RFE get the documents? or does it go back in some waiting line again? Any thoughts?

most of cases REF handled by same Officer, but who know other officer could handle too

There are a couple of weeks after an RFE is issued that the issuing officer can hold the file. However, after that time limit is up he has to send the file back to the staging area where it is requed after the requested information has been rec'd.

GeeCee Saga, do you know how long the orricer can hold the file by any chance?

So it looks like, if you respond early to the RFE your case can get approved quicker, else the re-queue'ing can set the case back.
