Hi there,
My mother in law went to India Yesterday after her 6 months stay in the US. She has 10 years multiple entry visa. We would like to get her back again next week. If we do so, will there be a problem in POE?

Will the Officers asks too many questions?

Any guidance on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sunder

Yes to all questions

When someone stays here for 6 months, goes home for a week, then comes back for another 6 months, they are no longer a tourist. Your mother is not visiting you here and then going back home to live. She lives here and goes back home to visit. She resides here on a tourist visa. She is violating the law, and each time she comes in presenting herself as a tourist when she's not, or shows up at the US embassy or consulate to apply for a tourist visa when she plans to live here, she's committing an act of fraud against the United States government and you are assisting her. I'm guessing you're here on an H1B or L1, something along those lines. It certainly is nice to know that since this country has extended the welcome mat and allowed you to come here and build a nice life for yourself, you show your gratitude by circumventing our immigration laws.

YEs.

Will the Officers asks too many questions?
No, in light of the situation I think they will ask her just the right number of questions.

IF they don't at least cut that 6 month admission down to 1 or 2, the officers at your POE are a bunch of worthless liberal twinkies.
