question on plasticcards

I had approval end of June, PP stamped on 7/11.
AVM did not change till 7/20.

Does anyone know if AVM changes when plastic cards are ordered ??
Is it ordered by VSC or by INS office where the PP got stamped
   (they take a FP at that time too) ?
My son whose card is ordered by VSC (no FP was done at PP stamping time
for him) - his msg is still "your I485 was recvd blah blah ..."
Our msgs changed one week after PP stamping.

Ajit is so WRONG. Just before they send out the cards the message changes to "We ordered cards for you on blah blah blah... It will take between 365-540 days for this request".

The cards however arrive within a week of this message.
 
Stamping & Plastic GC

Hi,

Does one has to get the GC Stamped in order to get the Plastic GC Card Or Not necessary? Thanks Priyadarshini
