Question on PERM advt. and recruiting

Here is my situation: I recently changed jobs thanks to the 20K H-1 that were made available to US Masters and PhD holders. However, I accepted this job back in January but could not join the company till June because of delays with the 20K implementation. Now I want to go for PERM. Will the company have to put fresh ads for this position and invite resumes and do the whole recruiting thing etc?? Seems like a lot of work and the company/HR might not be that agreeable to do this all over again! Would like your input on this matter. I know quite a few people here have applied for PERM, so if you guys/gals dont mind sharing your views. Appreciate it!
