Question on Oath Ceremony, in Chicago. PLEASE HELP!

Hi Everyone:).

I had my interview with the officer on Apr 27. Luckly, I passed all the test, and I received the paper saying that I passed the test and Congratulations. The officer wanted to schudule my oath ceremony on the May 5th originally....

The Officer: "Oath ceremony on May 5th?"
Me: "I am sorry but I have exams on that date, could I reschedule it?"
The Officer: "What about the week after that?"
Me: "I cant...cuz I have to go visit my parents in California, they are flying from England, they are only staying for a week, and I already bought my ticket...is it possible to reschedule it please?
The Officer: "Yes, no problem. I'll put a note on your file saying, May 19th after (thats when I come back from Cali)."

Anyway, today is June 13th. and I still haven't received the letter. And I went to the website to check my case status, and it said I am schedule to be interviewed still.

Is there anything I can do to check the status? Is there something going wrong? Anything I can do to fix it? I know I am sorry I know I really should have rescheduled the exams...PLEASES HELP ME..:( :(

1) The online case status for N-400 applications never changes after the interview, so that part is normal.
2) Make an INFOPASS appointment and try to find out there what is happening with your oath letter.
3) You might also try contacting your congressional representative (the member of the U.S. House of Representative for your area and the two U.S. Senators for Ilinois); they have support staff who can help with immigration inquiries
4) I guess you have just learned the hard way that whenever you try to postpone any USCIS scheduled event for any reason, it might lead to a significant delay (a few months, easily, and with a particularly screwed up place like the Chicago DO, maybe longer).

Looks like the original poster has not done much besides checking the website. I think the OP should first try to get to speak to someone in CIS before taking it to congresspeople. More so since the reschedule / hold was due to OP's request.
