Question on Medical for I485(filed with I130)

I heard through the grapevine that medical can waived for elderly folks who are eligible to get green card - I130 + I485 applied here in USA.

Also, while applying I130 and I485 together, for elderly parents, can we skip medical and assume that a RFE will be genarated if medical is necessary?

I stand to be corrected on this one but everyone is required to have a medical examination as part of the application for adjustment of status. If you do not include medical in the application, then you will get RFE and this will only delay your process....save yourself the trouble and get medical exam done.
