hello,

We will move to Canada once we get the landing paper.
What if my wife is in pregancy at the time of landing?

Thanks.

Depends on where you are planning to settle down in Canada. In Ontario landed immigrants get health coverage after 3 months. In some other province you can get it witihn a couple of weeks. So before moving please find out how much time it will take for you to get health coverage.

Having said that I will strongly reccomend that you have the baby in Canada if you want to settle in Canada. This will save you a lot of headaches.

Thanks Kenny004.

Could the landing processing be denied because of the pregnancy?

Thanks.

No you will not be denied landing because of the pregnancy.

But if you get the passport request letter and you feel that your wife will not be able to travel to Canada to land as PR then you should inform Buffalo about the situation and request them to put your file on hold. After your baby is born send in the documents to add your baby to your application and after the medical is done you will get the passport request.

If you get the PR visa and your baby is born before you can land in Canada your visa will be cancelled.
