I am a gc holder and have been separated from my spouse for last 2 years. I am suffering big time along along with my two kids. I was looking into obtaining L1 visa for him. He has a real estate business in india and has experience for last 12 years. We were thinking of starting something here so he could get L1 visa. How should I go about it? Right now he has a B1-B2 visa and he comes here once a year to visit us.
1. Can he get his status changed into L1 while he is in US? (if he applies for L1 in india wouldn't it be dual intention, can they reject his visa or cancel his B1-B2 visa?)
2. Can anyboby point me to someone who could help me in getting his L1 or in setting up a business here?
I have already filed for his i130, but it will take years before he could actually come here and stay with us. I would appreciate any help.
