Question on Joint tax returns and AOS interview

Has any one had any difficulty at the AOS interview because they lack joint tax returns even though they have been married for a while? My spouse has always filed alone because i do not have a ssn and we did not know about the itin until recently. We have been married for 3 years.

I didn't. At the moment of the interview I was married to my spouse for almost 2 years, and he also filed taxes as single ( I didn't have my SSN, and when I got it, I never worked anyways). Had no problems whatsoever. Just bring bunch of other evidence. And good luck!

filing taxes jointly would have helped you a bit, but it is not a negating factor. Try compensating that with evidence like joint bank accounts, joint lease/mortgage, joint utility bills, joint ownership of assets....
