Question on iEAD!!

Hi all,
My I-485 and EAD applications have been filed in California since my company has an office in California. I am working in Texas. When I went to get the iEAD from Texas INS, they wouldn't give it since the application has been filed in California. My question is "Is it possible for me to get iEAD by going to any INS in California?"

Good question.

Technically you can not get from any where since normally you get your iEAD from your local INS where you live, but since you are living in TX and there is no CSC local INS in TX and hence you can not go anywhere.
But let's see other side, your I-485 and 765 are filed from CA where your company is so I would say best bet would be to go to local INS where your company is. e.g if your company is in San Jose then go to SJC INS and if it is in Alameda county then go to SFO.
