Question on iEAD and RFE !!!

Does anyone know if local BCIS office issues iEAD if the original application gets RFE? My wife got RFE for her renewal EAD on May 16. She is working using iEAD which will expire on June 6. She hasn't received the RFE letter yet, so don't know what the RFE is for. Does she have any options here to save herself from not able to work after June 6? Thanks a lot...

In either case you can try. But I think vipsha, they will refuse iEAD even if you have replied to the RFE.
 
And the reason being ?

you mean to say if you get RFE on I-765 then you can not get iEAD ever, if yes then when ?

I don't think they will issue IEAD if you get an RFE even though you replied. But you can give a try.
The best thing you can do is Be ready with the paper work.
RFE can be for your I-140 approval(assuming you are primary) and/or Marriage Certificate. Send your response in Overnight mail once you receive. Hopefully you will get your approval before June 6th. Once your application is approved(even on that date) I think you should be fine.

FYI. It took me one week to receive RFE.

As SM mentioned, in any case, its worth trying for an iEAD even if you have received/replied to RFE. One thing I noticed is that different BCIS offices follows different rules as to issuing iEAD, especially the duration. Portland, OR BCIS office issues iEAD only for three months. I asked the same question to my attorney. Yet to hear any reply from them. I will keep you posted if you are interested.

The problem is that the RFE goes to my attorney and not to me. I can only ask them to speed up the reply. As I mentioned earlier, the RFE is for my wife and I suspect it is for marriage certificate. Will keep you posted.

RFE for spouse

My attorney received RFE for my spouse's EAD application. The RFE is for
a) I-485 primary application notice
b) I-140 approval - primary applicant
c) Marraige certificate

All these documents were attached earlier, alongwith the application, but they still need another copy. May be their copier machine has gone bad...or scanner is not of good quality.

My EAD application was approved on same day.

When was the RFE issued and when did you attorney receive the notice? I just wanted to know how much time it took to get the notice.
