Can I go to local INS Office to get my first EAD card?
EAD Notice Date: Nov 06, 2000
EAD Approval Date: Jan 26, 2001 (as per AVM)
Did not receive EAD card in mail!!

Talked to you IIO last week to know the status of EAD Card.
Was told that Card was ordered and was at Scan & Print stage.
Was asked to wait for another 4-5 weeks.

Planning to go to San Francisco INS Office to request
EAD card for seld and spouse

Does San Francisco INS office entertain applicants
asking for 1st interim EAD?
Does anybody have any experiences with SF INS office
on this issue?

Thanks in advance

As long as your EAD application has been pending for 90 days you can go and get an interim card. I did this at SF INS 6 months back and had no problems. I believe you need to take a copy of the original EAD application your lawyer filed. I don\'t remember though exactly what papers were required. Speak to your lawyer about that.

Went to SF INS Office today to get 1st EAD card

Was asked for A# and WAC# from I-485 Receipt
Card issued in three hours

Information posted by oasis1 & kevinsf in
EAD experiences helped me a lot.
bubba b reply encouraged me to go for EAD Card
right away

Other Details
RD: 10/24/00
ND: 11/06/00
FP: 02/20/01
AP Received: 01/01
Waiting for 485 Approval

Its amazing as I watched SF INS
make the EAD card. It only took
10 minutes for them.

For some reason CSC didn\'t get
time to send the same card even
though my EAD was approved on
Jan 26, 2001.

I am not entirely sure. But I have always
been counting 90 days from ND.

In case of Interim EAD there will be no fee.
This is because we had already paid $100
along with the original I-765 application.
