Question on FP appointment

Hi,
When I get my FP appointment will they give you a fixed
date to attend or will they give you a time frame before
which you have to complete your FP?

Is it possible to postpone the FP appointment and get a
later appointment? How long does it take to get a second
appointment?

btw, I am applying to VSC.

You can re-schedule or even go before the appointment date

The appointment is given for a certain date and time. I\'m processing through CSC, my FP appointment date was Aug 31st, I went to the same place on Aug 15th and completed the FP process. The INS officer was very polite and the whole thing was over in 20 minutes.
You can reschedule your appointment by mailing the attached form on the FP Notice. But it\'ll delay your GC process.

Can we do the FP at a different location?

Hello guys,

Could we do the finger printing at an ASC which is different from the one where the appointment is scheduled for? I have an FP appointment in the west coast and i live in the east coast. I am thinking of saving a trip to west coast.

Any info is appreciated.

FP before scheduled date

do you know if other people have done this before succesfully? You must have found out before taking an attempt.

My wife\'s FP redo is scheduled for mid september and i was thinking to go earlier than that.

Yes I had found out.....

Yes I had heard about others getting the FP done before the scheduled date. So I just walked in and I didn\'t have any problem with that.
BTW, I got it done at the new INS Support center in Santa Ana.

Santa Ana. I am assuming this is the one you were asked to
go in your notice. Can you go a different one?

Sorry, akd1, I don\'t know if one could go to a different one. I went to the same center as on my FP Notice. But I\'ve heard or read on this forum about people going to different center and have got their FP done successfully.
