Hi,

I am filling the DS 230 and I have a qustion for section 23 : Do I need to list all the school I attend from Primary School to University ?

Hi Hendra, saya rasa kamu harus fill semua sekolah kamu mulai dari primary sampai ke University,krn utk buktikan kamu sudah minimal 12 tahun sekolah sebagai persyaratannya.
Oh ya,Kamu terima Notification Letter untuk DV2007 ini di Jakarta atau di Amerika?Tanggal berapa kamu menerimanya,dan di Notification Letternya di print oleh KCC tanggal berapa?Lalu di post dari USA atau dari Swedia, dan cap posnya tanggal berapa?

Surat dari KCC USA nya tgl 18 May. Gua agak terlambat ngisi formnya. Mungkin akhir minggu ini mau dikirim balik. Gua tinggal di Singapore. Kamu gimana ? Udah terima NL ?

Hi Hendra, saya tinggal di Jakarta.Dari semua forum DV yg saya ikuti,baru kamu saja yg menang dari Indo.Oh ya,kamu claim country of eligibelity dari Indo kan?Bukan Spore kan?
Kalau boleh tahu kamu terima NL di Spore kapan?krn dari KCC kan dikirim 18May,saya mau tahu berapa lama waktu yg dibutuhkan utk kamu terima NLnya setelah dikirim KCC?

Di Eskimo forum,juga ada beberapa orang Indo,namun kami semua belum ada yg menang (baik yg tinggal di US maupun yg di Jakarta).

Saya juga banyak simpan data prosedur KCC,jika kamu butuh, cari saya saja.Mungkin saya bisa bantu,sekalian bagi pengalaman.Semoga saja saya bisa menang DV2007 seperti kamu.

Hi Purity dan Hendra,

Senang sekali akhirnya mendapatkan teman sebangsa di forum ini. Saya juga mendapatkan NL seperti hendra, tanggalnya akhir april tetapi baru saya terima akhir mei kemarin. Form tersebut sih udah saya kirim balik ke KCC awal juni kemarin.

Purity, dari orang2 indo yang terima NL, ada ga yang kamu kenal yang udah ada yang lolos interview? Apa aja yang harus kita siapkan untuk interview? Dengar2 kalau gak ada affidavit of support bakal gak lolos yah?

Kalo ngga salah form nya saya terima akhir May. Sekarang lagi nyiapin photo. Mungkin besok sabtu atau minggu udah bisa dikirim.

Hendra, punya informasi kans orang indo untuk lolos berapa % yah? Case Number kamu rendah apa tinggi? Punyaku 1xxx, sebenarnya cukup rendah, tapi aku nga punya sponsor di amerika, jadi masih ragu2 bakal ikut step interview berikutnya apa nga.

So, kamu bakal CP di Singapore apa di Jakarta?

I was asking about filling the education section on form DS230 and purity suggested that I should fill that section from primary school untill university. Anybody can comment on that ?

I think your case number is very low. You stand a high chance. Go for it. My case number is AS00002xxx. It's quite low too.

Vania,I think what is important is you show the consular that you will not be a burden to US when you immigrate there.Means, you have enough education/skill,and some money to support you before you can get a job.A sponsor is an extra plus but not a must.If you have like more than $20000 (my estimation),I think you should be ok.Unfortunately,I never know a person who won dv lottery,(personal friend),but I do read some post from some Indonesian who won dV lottery,and I never read a post that they got rejected during interview.So you have a good chance.
By the way,do you receive NL in Jakarta or in USA?
and Do the post stamp say from USA or from Sweden?

Hi Purity,

I received my NL in Jakarta and I'm based in Jakarta, will do my CP in Jakarta too. The post stamp from Kentucky - USA. Is there anybody receive NL from Sweden? I don't think so...

I have a friend who won the DV 2-3 years ago and consular asked him to show affidavit of support letter. It's like a gambling if I got rejected because I can't show them the letter, then I loose $ 1500 (I'll do CP with my husband). That's why I want to make sure anybody from our country can pass the interview without such letter.

Is there any forum for Indo's DV experience beside this one?

there are several forums, but not Indonesian only forum

Try it and do some search.There are several Indonesian CP post over there.but the search engine is not good,and you should specify the key word in detailed for it to do the job.
ie: type CP in Jakarta for the keyword.

You are very lucky to received your NL since late May.I am still waiting if I am lucky this year.

Also,usually for Asian REgion, the NL are send/post from Sweden or some other European country that provide bulk mail service.Yes it is issued by KCC,but physically posted from other country.You can check it on the post office stamp.
But if yours are posted from USA,that is new to me.

I also based in JKT like you.Two more question, how many times you try the dv lottery before you win this year?and beside your husband,do you have kids that you apply with you for the DV lottery?

My notification letter was sent from Sweden.

Keep your finger cross purity. You might also get the NL this year. If not, try again next year

Well, then I should check the post stamp then, I'm not sure whether it's posted from Sweden or USA. I didn't aware about that, I only noticed that the letter came from Kentucky.

I tried the DV lottery only 1 time (Oct 2006) without intentional purpose, since I just followed my friend. Luckily I was selected at the first year I tried it.

I am pregnant now, so my baby was not born yet. I didn't include my baby on the form that I sent back to KCC. Probably will bring my baby 2-3 years after settle life in USA (If I pass the interview :p ).

Anyway,good luck with your baby,oh yes, as soon as you born your baby (if you still in Indonesia,and before the interview),you should update your data with KCC,so your baby can get the Green Card also.otherwise, there will be problem later.There are lot of topic about this kind of situation (unborn baby,unmarried couple) on the forum I mention above, there are also other forum such as :

Dear Hadi,

Thanks for your advice, for sure will inform KCC once my baby delivered to this world. I've checked the envelope from KCC, you're right. It's sent from Sweden. I was not aware about this previously.

My friend didn't get NL until today, she's now in USA for F1 visa. Somehow you can try Dv 2008 again if you don't get NL till next month. We never know what happen next...

Yes, I'm so lucky that I was selected at the first time I try DV. Thanks God! Hope the luck will follow me until end of interview process thus I can get the GC.
