Question on Fingerprint schedule

I wanted to know what happens if we miss the appointment of fingerprints. Will they send another schedule ? Or would they assume that we no longer interested in the Citizenship (naturalization).

In my case I did not receive the schedule yet, but I suspect that I lost it in the mail (because many times it happened that our mail went to some neighbour's addresses and vice versa).

My wife and myself have applied for Citizenship the same time, applied seperately (sent through different envolopes). Within 10 days both got acknowledgement that they received the application and the fee. Within next day, my wife received the notice/schedule for fingerprints. But I did not receive it. It is only 3 weeks since we applied. So it is not a major concern.

But I am worried if I lost the mail. Please advise.

Since how many days passed with the FP notice that your wife has got (& you haven't). If not more than a week, I would wait couple of days to see ft it comes through. Else call the 800 numbers to see it they can tell you soemething. If you have hired any lawyer, notice goes to him/her as well.
 
Thanks for the reply. It is around 10 days passed since my wife got the request for FingerPrints. I have already spoken with the Vermont-800 number. The operator was not helpful at all, she said she can't see my info. except any immigration officer. Then suggested me to take an appointment at local Newark(NJ) office, which I did (scheduled next week). But when I called back Vermont office, they said the Newark office won't be of much help. And suggested me to wait till I get the finger-prints. They said they would sent another request for fingerprints, if I don't show up(don't receive the mail). But their answers seem to vary from person to person.

I don't have lawyer for my case. Any suggestions, let me know.
 
Received the FP notice ..

Hi

Just to let you know. I have received my finger-print notice,
scheduled 3 days after my wife's schedule.

They accepted to take my finger-prints also at the same time (3 days early).
Initially they said I can't get the fp's earlier than the schedule as they were too busy on that day, but decided to take anyway.
