Hi,

Our lawayers do not provide 485 receipt number.

I cannot change lawyers as they are provided by our company.

Is there anyway I can find our 485 receipt numbers based on let's say A# or EAD receipt Numbers ?

Here I am assuming the we need 485 receipt numbers to check status of the GC either using website or phone. Am I correct ?

Thanks

The only people who can provide you with your receipt number is your lawyer. There is no other way to find out.

If your lawyers are not giving you the receipt number, you may want to take up this issue with the HR department in your company. The lawyers are obligated to provide the receipt number to HR...and then HR can give that number to you.

I know there are some lawyers who dont want to deal with the applicants directly, but they have to deal with HR....so that might be one way of getting your receipt number.

Call BCIS

Im not sure how this new national number works. but in the past I've called the VSC and they sent a fresh copy of the receipt notice. The receipt notice had the old RD == but for some reason had a more current notice date.

hope that helps

But ndny, the fresh copy that BCIS will send will be sent to the address on file which is the lawyer. So either way pingpong02 wont get to know the receipt number.

Well our lawyers do not disclose per the instructions from HR.

Will VSC/NSC entertain me if I call and identify myself using A# ?

Do a search in Google :D (to find your receipt number)

If your employer is playinggames with you then, you should play games with him. Try some tricks.
1) Tell your lawyer that you are buying a house and you need the I485 receipt as a proof thet you are in adjustment of status.
2) Tell your lawyer that you have to goto your home country for a 1 month vacation and you need all your immigration papers to support your status
3) Tell your lawyer that you want all the documents because you want to bring your parents on visitor visa.

If nothing works, then shift from the current employer (using your EAD) and then threaten your Lawyer of legal action if he did not
send you the Receipt.
