Question on DS230 Part I/I130 application

My wife is a US citizen and I am a Canadian citizen living in Canada. My wife sponsored my I130 visa petition for me sometime back.
I have heard back from Consulate General of US in Montreal that a visa number is currently available and I should send them DS230 part I and II and prepare for an interview.
During this time, we have our first child born (currently 18 months old). There is a section in DS230 part I which asks to list children. and then in column 31a. it asks to list 'Person(s) named in 14 and 29 who would accompany you to the United States now. In next column 31b. it asks Person(s) named in 14 and 29 who will accompany you to the United States at a later date.

My question is
Do I include my child in this application saying that he would accompany me to US or Does my wife has to file a separate application for him. (I have found a separate N600 application to be filed for children of US citizens)
If a separate application has to be filed then do I need to say in my current DS230 part I that my child will be accompanying me to US now or should I say he will accompany me at a later date.

My intention is not to delay my case if it gets delayed by adding my child. What I am thinking my child is a Canadian citizen and can go to US with us as a visitor. And in next few months my wife can get his application via N600K processed to get him naturalized.

Would really appreciate your help/comments from your experience.

Please check the details of your Childs Citizenship status on Department of State website as he might be able to obtain Consulars Report of Birth Abroad and have a US Passport made right away.
If he doesn't qualify adding him to your application will not delay your application.
