I have the following questions when a I/140 & I-485 ( AP / EAD) are filed concurrently ??
1) What is the difference between the Receipt Date and Notice Date
2) After the lawer sends I-140/I-485 papers how long does it take for the Service Center to file ?
3) In california we have about 3 district service centers ( Sanjose ,Sanfrancisco, Sacramento ). But my lawyer says that the files will be sent to California. Even in the online processing times URL ( https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp;jsessionid=et2E7_HbM5nh ) you find different processing dates for all of these 3 district service centers and also for California Service Center. So which times I should be paying attention to if I need to track about my case?
4) After my lawyer sends the reqd documents to the CSC, how long does it take to get the WAC numbers ( case tracking numbers )? Who will give them to me? ( Does the Service center mail them to me directly or does it mail to my lawyer ?)
5) How many track numbers we will receive in total ( Currently I am on H1B and my wife is on H4B) ? Do we have separate tracking numbers for I-140 / I-485 / I-131 / I-765 . Does the same apply to my wife also ??
6) Is there any other way of getting the track numbers instead of waiting for the mail ? ( Any toll free number / URL ?? )
