Question on AP

I applied for mine & spouse's 3rd AP on July 21st (e file). I got an RFE for new photos and got approved on Dec 7th. My spouse's is not yet approved and the AP2 is already expired. If an emergency occurs, can we go to the local INS and get one? any idea?

I guess once there is an RFE, your local USCIS office will not issue the AP. So you have no option but to wait for the approval.

no RFE for my spouse's AP, only for 485.
