Question on AP and Landing

Texas

I have a question regarding AP. People always say to make sure one was NEVER out of status if travelling on AP.

I never was, but am curious since it doesn't make any sense to me. People and BCIS make AP sound so risky.

How can approval on AP be given if one is out of status, or ever was and what is the procudure on using it at POE??

Just trying to get a clear idea about AP.

Dude, BCIS is so goofed, that when they approved my h1, they put my spouses A# on my h1 approval. I had to call them and tell them what the problem was, and they sent me an ammended approvals for me and my spouse without the A#'s. If you have never been out of status, don't worry too much. I don't think they have time to sit and figure out the entry and exit dates. I am not saying that they will not do this,

As you are aware AP is nothing but a Travel Document issued by BCIS to let someone back into the country without a valid visa. This is issued to only certain class of AOS applicants.
