Question on AP and 485

Does anyone know what happens at port of entry for people whose 485 get approved while travelling abroad using AP? My company lawyer said in the rare case, it may be a problem since AP is for pending 485 only, once 485 is approved, AP is technically invalid.

To be even worse, what if 485 is approved within a few days before the day of travel, which means it'll not be possible for me to receive the approval notice and go to local INS to get passports stamped. but I have to use the AP to re-enter. how sad to know it's like a trap but no other choice.::<(

I am getting worried since it seems vsc is moving again. last time I called IIO (last week), the RD 10/29/02 case was not still assigned.

IF you leave US on AP before th apprval of 485 you can come back without anyproblem using AP. But if 485 is approved and u leave after that there might be problem. In 1st case maximum you might have to appear for deffered inspection at your local INS but most of times officer at POI will let u in on AP.
