Hi All!
I have a question form a friend and also wanted to get some input:
My friend just maried and his wife is originally from Burma (she is a US citizen now). They are trying to bring her family over and got a lawyer.
The lawyer asked her for her "A" number (which I guess is the Alien number you get assigned on your green card). When she became a citizen she gave back the green card and now she can't find what her number was.
The lawyer is giving them some BS story that he could get the number but would be very costly and it could take up to a year.
I say the lawyer is lying and suggested they get another lawyer.
Any idea on how she could get that number? Call INS and ask directly?? Any idea on what number to call?
Thanks guys!!
