Question on Advance Parole

HI All,

I applied for AP some time back in May and recently my online status changed to:

This case has been approved. On September 26, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

Question:
- Does this mean the AP was made and sent to me? Or does it mean that I will get an approval letter and I have to go to the local office to get my AP?

This means you should be getting your AP in mail soon as it has been approved.

Your RD are just one day before me July 11 and mine are July 12, Did you apply for AOS by marriage or by employment?
ALSO i see that ur AP was just approved on NOV 4th, techically mine should have on next working day of Nov 7th, BUT as of NOV 14, NO NEWS.
Can you please tell what did you do regarding inquiries or letters once NBC passed the processing date by 30 days for u r application.
Please do reply, would be a great help. Its just frustrating as I have to leave by DEC 20th. I think you replied to my other queires too, so i hope u help me out this time too...

My AP SHOULD have been approved sometime in september. Due to a late RFE, my EAD and AP got delayed. I did not send any enquiries but i made a lot of calls to USCIS and asked to be transferred to an immigration officer only to result in useless informaiton.

Please do reply, would be a great help. Its just frustrating as I have to leave by DEC 20th. I think you replied to my other queires too, so i hope u help me out this time too...
If you have proof that your travel is an emergency, you can get an INFOPASS, go to your DO and get AP the same day. I see that you responded to your medical RFE after 60 days and resent it again in a month. I wont be surprised if this is the hold up to your case.

In my case after USCIS received my RFE response, i saw an update on my I-485 and my AP and EAD were approved in a week. Typically RFE's are issued within the first 30-45 days after applications are received by USCIS, but my RFE was generated after 93 days.

Well, so was wondering ... was ur RFE for Medical...
I thought that I-485 once applied... AP and EAD kind of worked independently and not depend on the status of I-485.

Neways I had an update for I-485 for RFE after i posted here today... (Funny got same status email twice one after the other) its as follows...

As of NOV 14,
Current Status:

On November 10, 2005, we received your response to our request for
evidence or information. It is taking between 120 and 180 days for us to
process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was
complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum
stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

Now what does this mean? I thought that I-485 application once complete, is sent to the Local DO and they take their own time...

Now regarding emergency...I had just taken an Infopass which was available for this Friday 18th, now its my wedding ceremony...its not an emergency my BUT it would be as my parents are freaking out as lot of preparations have been done and lot of people have bought tickets to go from here(as u know how expesive they are in DEC) so lot of them are going to be upset...
Neways after reading ur msg, it feels like I should wait a little bit,
And if I go that should i go with above reason? Again all suggestions and info would be very helpful. Thanks again for the responses.

My RFE was for my birth certificate.
This is how it worked for me.
My RFE was accepted by USCIS and i got an update on Oct 26.
I saw a couple of LUD for my I-485, I-765
My AP got approved Nov 4.
My EAD got approved Nov 7.

So if you see that status message for your I-485, you can be sure that you will see things getting approved soon.

Your EAD and AP are based in your I-485. Without I-485 you wouldn't be able to apply for EAD/AP. They are approve independently but using information that you give through your I-485. (to see if you really can apply for those benefits).
