Question on Actual Green Card

I received the approval for my green card and got my passport stamped around May 15th. I am waiting for my actual card. AVM says that my Alien Registration or GC processing is complete and a card will be mailed to me soon (or something to that effect). How far am I from receiving my card? If I change my job after receiving my card can it pose problems?
 
You can change your job on stamping , someone joined at my place with the stamp and received the cards 6 months later after stamping.
