Question on AC140

Dear friends,

I am new in this CP forum and have a quick question on AC140.

I have been waiting for my I-485 for almost two years now in california service center and I happened to read some posts here to learn about AC140. I did some search and got some information. Thanks in advance.

I am working with my EAD (Employment authorization.. for those who are not familiar with 485 processing) and hence don't have avalid H1B. If I opt for AC140 processing, will my existing 485 be abandoned automatically ? (and hence will I loose my status !)
