Question on 485/EAD

Hello all,

This is a query for my friend. His priority date is Dec - 2002. His labor and I-140 have been cleared. He is going to file for 485 before Sep 30th. Will he still get his EAD with all this Retrogression or will the application just sit in the queue waiting to be processed god know when??

I filed the same way when EB3 was retrogressed from July and I got EAD.
He'll get his EAD only if he files I-485(and I-765) before Sep 30th. Even if he files I-485 before Sep 30th and files EAD/AP after Sep 30th, he'll still get EAD/AP since his I-485 is pending.
