I am employed by a company that has offices in U.S, U.K and India. I work for the U.S company and I am paid by U.S payroll. But for the past 1 year I have been on an assignment in U.K drawing just the Per Diem from U.K Office( My Salary is paid by U.S office).
Now I have applied for I140 and my papers are marked for Consular processing(Chennai).
1. For the purpose of filling 2002 U.S Taxes, I have claimed exceptions from IRS since I had to pay taxes in U.K(due to tax aggrement between U.S and U.K to avoid double taxation, I have to pay taxes on my U.S income to the U.K govt) and I have got Tax refund on my U.S Federal Taxes.
2. I am here in U.K for little over 1 year and expect to spend couple more months here. There might be a chance, I might get a call for CP interview while I am still in U.K.
I would like to know from the gurus, if the above mentioned items will pose a problem in processing my GC (particulary for CP).
