Hi :
Has anybody on EAD flown to canada. Do they take your I-94 when U leave US.
What does the immigration officer write on the new I94 when u show your EAD and AP while coming back to USA.

The status of my wife was incorrectlty writen as H4 while she was on EAD. I am thinking of going to canada to get this thing straightened out.

depends on which airport, at montreal they made me do I 94 again. but when i drove to canada no such thing not even a stamp.

Thanks nervous, but dont U think they will always take the I94 when U FLY to ANY place in Canada.

Hi Can I drive into canada with AP stay there and come back .Do I need to have visitor visa also?I am using EAD now ( h4 to h1 to ead).

you do need visitors visa, i had experience flying out of montreal its there they took my old I 94 and made me do a new one. Immigration is done at the canadian airport, not back in US, i did not know this and almost missed my flight becoz of that. While driving thet just saw MY AP but dd not stamp it (as it was stamped previously once) i think if its a new AP, they will do AP stamping and I 94, even if you are driving.

Dont they take your I94 when you are flying out of USA to Canada as they do when you fly out of USA to any other country like Inda UK etc.
