Question N400--part 6) B)occupation

I am litttle apprehensive to asnwer the
part 6)B) emaployment of lat 5 years --occupation column.
It is more technically which will be correct asnwer.
Example:
I worked with same employer more than 8 years and sya from 2001.
1)First on H1B--for 4 years--designation say --software Des...1
2)After GC --for 3 years --designation say ---Sales and CRM consult1.
3)Then after --for 1 years 9 months--designation say--Solution consult1.
Now for the same employer in the Row 1,I have to put
like 2001---to present --which technically true answer in "occupation 'column?

If I mention designation at 3 for all from 2001 to date? is it OK or

do I need to mention all 1)2) 3) separately,as the 'five' years now(90 days before)Spans 2 and 3 completely and a part goes in 1) .though employer is same?
What normally others are doing in similar situation?

You are confusing job designation with occupation. Write your occupation as software professional since 2001. Since you had the same employer, mention it in only one line.

Agree....it should be occupation...."Accountant, CPA" , "Doctor, MD", "Construction Engineer"
