question: I-94 submitted with I-485?

Hi, I saw some posters are saying that INS are asking for I-94 for passport stamping. But according to my lawyer, my I-94 (and my families\') have been submitted with the I-485 applications. The lawyer says that it\'s not a problem because INS asked the original I-94 be submitted with I-485 at that time (RD=04/99).

I am just kind of worried that if it is true. Please share your experience.
By the way, I am in Boston, MA. (not sure if this makes any difference).

I think your lawyer is ignorant. Never submit originals to INS. I remember very clearly, instructions from my lawyer to take a very clear copy of both sides of the I-94(even advised me to adjust the toner of the copier, if needbe, as the I94 verbage can be very faint), to submit along with the I485. I am sorry, I don\'t know how important I-94 is for the stamping, though.

Thanks for the reply. Since this is not my lawyer but my company\'s, I don\'t really know if they are speaking the truth.
