question: I-140 sent for consular

Hello Everyone

I have lodged my I-485 application in Nov 2001 (EAC02057 series). After waiting for months, I have been told today through the congresman's office that is following my case with BCIS that my original I-140 has been sent to London. I have to add that I used to work in UK and have got my H1b visa from London 3 years ago. I have never intended however to go out of US and apply for the consular processing so I do not know why my application has been sent to London. Have anyone in the forum have ever experienced a similar case and if so what should I do to accelarate the process.
I look forward to hear from you.

Many thanks

I am in a similar case. I took a one-year assignment in Belgium and my I-140 was approved for CP while I was still in Brussels. I also got my H1B renewed while working in Brussels. My case is still pending and I am now concerned that my I-140 might be at the consular in Brussels and not in Vermont.

How can I find out where my I-140 is? The phone number for VSC is cancelled, isn't it? Would anybody know how to get in touch with VSC to ask them about my I-140?

My case is now at 18 months processing, but this is probably not enough to get my congressman involved, should I contact him/her anyhow? Does anybody know who this person is for Connecticut? Address, website, phone, email?

Thank you very much in advance.

When i was applying for I-140 I asked attorney about problems in mentioning CP and going for AOS. He told me that it would take couple of months extra, as the I-140 will be sent to NVC. He never mentioned about going to native country.

Anybody has idea how this will work in concurrent filing?

call the National visa center

the tel number I don't know. If you were approved for CP, you would have got a letter from this center, which gives you a archive number. All the cases of CP are handled by this center.
