Hey, guys, what information Senator's office needed to inquire your case for you? EAC number?
Do they ask about your employer information,
address..... What they need.

Thanks!

clueless123, look what I found for your old post:

from MeowMeow
Pgreencard.............
Boston Senator Ed Kennedy is a good person. Some of my friends with genuine cause got their approvals. Some of their staffs are very arrogant. They will ask questions in a very rough tone. One lady, i don't remember her name - she always says your company should contact us or use your attorney and find out. I contacted her 2-3 times, but nothing happened. My 140 is still pending for over 1 year and i contacted her when my 140 was pending for 180 days (the projected time in the petition was 110 days), then after 270 days and after 365 days. She was curious to know about the need for immediate approval... and comments that AC-21 is not legal....

If you have a reasonable case like me, contact your local congressman - find out from local.yahoo.com. Congressman Marty Meegan's office in Lowell are good...... They will listen to you and try to help you out.

The first time I called Kerry's office, the lady just took my EAC number and of course my contact info. I received a letter from them in a couple of days telling me that I would hear something from VSC in 30-60 days. This of course didn't happen.

This time though, I have sent them a letter last week with all of my details. Let's see if they follow up on my case or just ignore me like they did in case of Clueless.

Yoda, why don't you try a congressman. Senator may be too busy for those nuiance stuff. Congreemen all have websites saying they can help on immigration status inquiry. I bet they pay more attention to ppl, because they only take care several towns not whole state. What do you say? I'm going to call congressman tomorrow.

Hi dengdeng:

Thanks for getting the information for me about Senator Kennedy's office!

It sounds very true about his staff in the immigration division.
The supervisor, Emily Winterson, does not want to help at all.
She told me getting my lawyer to help is the "immigration law".

Has anyone heard about this law? Because the Kenneys
have power, anything they say is "law"?! They were selected
to serve the people and to address people's needs. Now it
seems they were rude and arrogant.

Kerry's office was responsive and helpful at my first contact.
They got back to me within a matter of days with true
information. She only needed a copy of my I-485 receipt,
and my contact info.

You're right. I contacted my local congressman William
Delahunt today and see what happens. If this doesn't work,
I'll take a trip to Vermont.

Cluless, do you know Kennedy voted against AC21 law.
he doesn't like us, he supports illegal immigrants more.

What about that william? How did you contact him?

William Delahunt

Hi Dengdeng:

I stopped by his office today to bring over a letter to him,
a copy of my I-485 receipt, and references with people's
names who know me well, such as my old advisor, my current
employer, and my neighbor.

Because the staff asked me a question, "Have you had any
trouble with the law?" So I gave them a list of people to contact
to let them know I never break any law.

They said they would read my files and get back to me soon.
I had the impression that they may be able to help. They are
not like Kennedy's office trying to push you away.

yeah, i guess now i'll have to contact my local congressman. Edward Markey represents my area. i'll try to contact him sometime next week or may be stop by his office.

When I contact the local congressman, should I tell his office that I have tried the senator's office?
Clueless did you tell them about your experience with the senator?

To yoda

Hi yoda:

When I went to a the congressman, I didn't tell them about my
experience with the senator. They didn't ask about it, either.

I think it will complicate things if you tell them. No need to tell.
