I called up VSC and was told that my case was in the adjudication area. Who knows what I means. I am assuming that it means it is with and officer as I was previously told that it had gone back to the officer.
Did you hear anything regarding your case.

No it does not mean that it has been assigned to an officer. In simpler terms it just means that the case is still pending and probably in work distribution load. Sorry to give u this bad news.
