Jim, nice to have you on this board helping people out. I got laid off a week after the Green card approval. I have also received my plastic card now. Will there be any problems in claiming unemployment benefits ? If I can claim, I know that I need to call the unemployment office every 2 weeks to keep them informed. Can I travel abroad for a month during that period and have someone take care of the automated phone thing.
