Question for Gurus

I have been issued an RFE and I have been asked to submit 2002 Tax Return. I have misplaced the copy of my return but I know all the numbers that went in 1040. Can I redo the form again and send it to them with a copy of the cancelled check for the amount I owed IRS. Or do they need exactly the same copy of the forms I submitted to IRS. Thanks in advance Gurus.

doing it by phone takes longer though.

since you have already been issued the RFE, I would say, call a local IRS office before hand, and just get it in person.

P.S: I once did it by phone and received it in about 10 days - but I was not in any hurry.
