Question for case transfers:

Yesterday, I recieved a notice from Nebraska INS that
 my case has been transfered to local (Detroit) INS.
 However, I did not receive the notice for my wife.
 Is she automiatically transfered or her case
 will be handled separately from mine ????

 I added her to GC during the I-485 stage.
 Any comments ?? Thoughts ???

All secondary beneficiaries are added

in the 485 stage. Not clear. Did you get married then and added her into the process. If it so that may eplin why your case was transferred.

 I got married on january 2001 and then
 applied for 485 on Feb - 2001 along with wife\'s.
 I guess they want to verify if I am married to
 my wife.

 So, is her case tagged along with mine ???
 
Similar case

My case is similar to yours wrt the reason for transfer to local office.
Case was transfered from NSC to Detroit local office on Jan 7 2002.
But my wife did receive the transfer notice on the same day as mine.

What does the AVM say for your wife\'s case? I\'m sure the cases are tied together, but I would suggest you better check with NSC and make sure what the status is.
