Hello guys-

I know you mentioned earlier that no visa is required to transit through seoul on an RTD. I am having trouble with the korean embassy in San Francisco and they insist I need a visa even though I am not going to be leaving the airport and just need to transfer to another flight.

Do either of you have any documentation that says RTD holders are exempt for visa's in transit? or can you recommend another korean consulate who would have a better idea?

Thanks

never mind

:D Never mind guys...straightened it out...guess the higher ups knew better than him. Thanks anyway.

Transit

My experience has been that for transit in Seoul, you do not even need to go through immigration. I'm glad everything is straightened out. If you have any trouble, I suggest you speak to the consul in Los angeles. His name is Mr. Shon Hongkee. He is very helpful all the time and is very familiar with the RTD. He even gave me multiple entry visas for Korea (although they do not usually give it on the RTD). Good luck on your trip, please let us know how it goes. If you have any trouble in Korea, let me know, and I will privately send you some contact information of people who can help.
