When i read all these messages for Old receipt dates not processed or left out. DO we have any idea on the counts for these numbers. If 2 out of 200 cases are missed out or held back does not mean anything but if for every month being processed they process 25% of tehc ases and leave the other 75% pending then we are sc!@#$%. Anybody have any ideas on how many EB 485 filed everyday?

I checked in immitracker.com, found this

Compiled from immitracker.com. Looks like in pre 06/00 months about 20 % still pending and after 06/00 about 50 % still pending. Keep in mind not all post the approval to the board.

Graph from INS

Look at this Graph issued by INS (attachment file). Ofcourse, this graph shows all
Immigration related cases of all centers. So, divide these numbers
by 4 and you get the approx. cases of NSC. Then, again we do not know
how many I485 cases, so do approximate again, about 1/10 of cases.
Then you get an idea. If you see the graph, from March\'2001 thru
August\'01, no of filings increased, but dropped dramatically in
Sep\'01. Expected to drop further in Oct-Dec 01. But, the pending
cases remains same or even increasing. That\'s fate of INS.

Also, look at this statistics from INS: ...

Click on attachment. Again, the data here shows numbers
of all four INS centers. So, do approximate maths for your
own conclusion.

So, what this tells us is that about 1 million cases are pending
in NSC. So, you know where your case stands. 1 in 1 Million.

The only center which releases the Number of I485 cases is TSC.
As per them, they have approximately 69,000 I485 cases pending.

I would say, NSC may have more than that because NSC is the only
center in US processes Asylee I485 cases. Other centers do not.
