Hi, fellows:

Both My wife and I are on H1b right now, and some of you recommended remaining on H1b even when we are eligible to use EAD. It will be 90 days next week since we filed our I765, Is there any benefit we get/use iEAD?
Thank you in advance!

It all depends on individual needs, What is your validity on H1s and how is your job doing? But there is no harm in getting iEAD though you may not be using it.
Its free of cost but you need to spend few hrs at local service center.
There wont be any benefit if you are on H1 since it is "buy one get one" so why to leave it.

Better get one...

Just in case you have to change your job or if you want to work in the evenings..
If you start working using your EAD then ask your HR to change the I-9 form for you and you could stop using up your H1 clock.

Speaking of which I got a question regarding this.
Suppose that you are working in your company on H1 and doing a part-time job in the evening using EAD.
What will be your status?
Do you have to change ur H1 status to EAD at original work also?
what effect does it have on GC?

If you use EAD with one employer, you will hve to use it with ALL employers.

EAD for one is EAD for all

the effect on GC is nothing but now you are dependent on your AOS to get thru with no problems
