Does anyone had an experience by filing an SB-1 visa?
My husband took my document last year and refused me to travel back to US so I can remove the conditions on my status. I couldnt make it.
Now it's been 1 year out of the states, in the embassy they told me either to file for SB-1 visa or to re immigrate me. what is the best way?
is the SB-1 guaranteed ? what are my chances and how long it takes?
Thank u in advance

SB-1 approval is not guaranteed, but the chances of approval are very high if you apply within the first few months after crossing the 1-year mark for being outside the US, and if you have appropriate documentation of the circumstances that made you stay outside the US for that long. In your case, since you claim your husband took your passport and/or green card, you will need a police report of that incident.

If you haven't already applied for removal of conditions, and your card was a 2-year conditional card which has expired, you will have to apply for removal of conditions in order to get the SB-1 approved.

thank you so much for ur answer..
Yes I have a police report.
We also filed to remove the conditions jointly, and my husband said he lost the notice of action that contains the 1 year extension. so i have only the receipt number for the moment,
so now can I only use that receipt number ?
thank u so much and sorry

if i show them the police report isn't going to affect the process? even if we still married and we have a son. will they refuse because they will see that we had a such problem?
