Question abt EAD renewal...

Q abt EAD renewal...UPDATE....

Do I need the original 485 receipt to renew my EAD card ?
Or would a copy of the receipt and the original EAD card suffice ?

I applied last week and, I did send it with the COPY of i-485 but not the original.

Thanks, I have another Q...

Our EADs expire in Oct. and just now we got our FP notices.
I am going to renew my EAD anyways. But, for my wife's EAD, can I wait until Oct and then renew it ? If there is a gap between EAD expiration and renewal dates, will that cause any problem ?
