I am former au-pair from Croatia. I entered country in February 2005. I meet my husband after I came and we married in December. I could no longer be au-pair since I got married, meaning, I fell out of status after the formal marriage ceremony.
My physical visa expires on February 7th 2006.
My question is:
-We could not afford to apply to adjust my status after we got married, we will be able to pay for that about the same time my visa expires.
Is there gonna be problems regarding my approval because of that? All together, that will be 2 months late since I formally lost J1 status and few day visa overstay?
This is very important, so please advise me if you have any knowledge of the matter.
